MARCELO BURLON COUNTY OF MILAN AW20 MEN’S COLLECTION

In true Marcelo Burlon fashion, this Autumn-Winter ‘20 season was all about the cool kid that’s too cool to even bother. It was translated throughout, from backdrop setting, to the atmosphere to even the bright cobalt zig zag carpet on the floor. In the center of the runway, there was an enormous metallic blue dome, where models walked around as the dome would catch their reflections from afar. The atmosphere mimicked what we were about to see. The collection consisted of a range of colours, from grays, army greens, blues and blacks in short and pant utilitarian looks. There was an acid-bright, psychedelic print, that worked its way on shirts and even a suit for a full total look. Crystal sparkles were seen on models: one, a crystal-studded denim jacket in black, that looked as if it was the night sky filled with distant stars. Another sparkling hoodie stunned the crowd: this one was more loud with black and silver striped sparkles all over, and also a cobalt suit jacket shimmering as the model walked by. Still mimicking the noise were belted trench coats, puffer jackets and bucket hats, all with the subtle zig zag pattern found on the carpet. In short, a collection that will be seen on every cool kid’s Instagram feed, on the streets and always photographed.
