Interview

Christian Frascaro e Francesco Cristiano

Christian and Francesco are an influencer couple we met for TCZ. They told us how they met and some style secrets. Read their interview here to find out more.

Christian, what do you think Francesco likes most about you? And vice versa, Francesco about what Christian does?

CHRISTIAN: What I like about Francesco is that he’s very stubborn, he always achieves the goals he sets for himself. Even at the cost of changing everyone's mind, me first and foremost, but every now and then I win.

FRANCESCO: Of Christian I love his being creative, even if he doesn't show it. I get angry every day, I tell him 'show your creativity, but he sometimes hides it’.

If you had to steal one item of clothing from Christian/Francesco what would it be?

FRANCESCO: Definitely one of his super oversized coats.

CHRISTIAN: I, on the other hand, can't steal anything from him.

FRANCESCO: That's not true! The earrings!

CHRISTIAN: Just the earrings, because we're too different in size. All my things fit him perfectly, his don't fit me, not even my shoes.

Are you more of a sartorial or casual look?

“We’re both casual and tailored, it depends on the situations and events.

FRANCESCO: There are days when I prefer to be a bit more casual and days when I prefer to be more formal, maybe putting on a loafer with zero-wash denim and a cashmere jumper.

CHRISTIAN: You can also see today by the choice we made.

FRANCESCO: Yes, today he’s formal and I’m casual.”

This season's trend you can't give up?

FRANCESCO: Super loose trousers, in nylon, wool, and denim.

CHRISTIAN: Trainers, but rather with a lace-up or loafer.

You and Christian are an avowed couple on social media, have you ever been bullied or homophobic? What advice would you give to so many kids who are going through this?

CHRISTIAN: Yes, we've been an avowed couple on social for many years now.

FRANCIS: We also met on social. One of the last acts of bullying was when we were taking a photo with a photographer. The two of us were kissing, we were in front of an institute here in Milan, and suddenly rubbers, pencils, and pens cases came at us. I didn't expect this kind of reaction, especially from the new generation.

CHRISTIAN: Apart from that, we haven't had so many of these episodes. On social media, people write to us and appreciate it.

FRANCIS: The last one was this, but we continued, we didn't stop.

CHRISTIAN: Absolutely!

Who made the first step?

CHRISTIAN: Me! He had written to me on Facebook about a competition and I told him that I hoped he had written me an invitation to dinner.

FRANCIS: I incredulously thought 'that's not true! He made a mistake.’

CHRISTIAN: He wasn't.

FRANCESCO: And then it was love at first sight.

CHRISTIAN: Yes, even though the day we met he had a fever of 40° C (104°F). But in the end, it went well.

If you had to give Christian/Francesco a present tomorrow, what would it be?

CHRISTIAN: You can give me everything because I don't have anything, he's full of stuff, so he's the one who has to give the presents here for sure.

FRANCESCO: Right now, since we're changing and remodelling the house, I'd give a sofa.

CHRISTIAN: I'd also be fine with a nice outfit.

FRANCESCO: ok, then a The Corner look.

Where do you see yourselves in 30 years?

CHRISTIAN: Already that we see each other in thirty years is positive because it means we’re still together. For the rest I don't know, lately, we've learned to live day by day.

FRANCESCO: We'll definitely be in Milan, because it's the city we feel is ours, even though I'm Neapolitan and Francesco is from Puglia, but Milan is home for us.
