LFW & MFW WOMEN’S SPRING-SUMMER 2024

From Burberry to Tom Ford, passing through to Genny, MM6 Maison Margiela, and Moschino, your favourite brands presented their women’s collections for Spring-Summer 2024. Discover them with us!

Among the best proposals we at TheCorner.com saw on the catwalk during LFW-London Fashion Week, we can’t fail to mention Burberry’s second season under the creative direction of Daniel Lee, who reinterpreted the trench coat for this occasion, drawing inspiration from the 20’s silhouette. That being said, it was Northern Irishman Jonathan Anderson who stole the spotlight with the new women’s collection by the label bearing his name, among oversized bomber jackets and cargo trousers with feather detailing. Moving on to MFW-Milan Fashion Week, Kim Jones made colour the undisputed protagonist of Fendi’s womenswear collection for Spring-Summer 2024, with somber garments in neutral and pastel tones revived by touches of bright yellow and orange. At Etro colour was definitely present, but Fendi’s minimalism made way for an exciting mix of prints, fabrics and inspirations, that’ll win over all women who want to be remembered for their style. Speaking of maximalism, Glenn Martens, Creative Director of Italian brand Diesel, drew inspiration from the 2000’s style while designing his new proposal, which could be described as a celebration of the most versatile fabric ever, that’s denim. For the next hot season, Max Mara sent down the catwalk a subtle elegance, which marries style to the practicality the modern woman needs in her everyday life. Miuccia Prada and Raf Simons, on the contrary, gave life to a 50’s-inspired atmosphere, using the soundtrack from ‘Vertigo’, the 1958 movie directed by horror master Alfred Hitchcock. There was different vibes for the Blumarine catwalk show, where nets, veils and transparencies ruled the rooster. To conclude, American brand Tom Ford, showcased its new collection designed by Peter Hawkings in Milan for the first time, and played with the sensuality that made the label known all over the world. We can’t wait for the warmer season to make its comeback to wear all these fantastic proposals, and you?
