Phoebe, I admire so much your strength, determination and perseverance of work ethics. Your resume speaks volumes, itโs very impressive! That said, Iโd like to start from the beginning. When did your passion for styling, and more in general for the fashion industry start? Was it always your dream?
Thank you, thatโs incredibly kind. It was around the of age 12 or 13 when I started to take a serious interest in the fashion. Yes it was always my dream to work in the industry, I struggled for a while to understand in what capacity. I wanted to be both a stylist and a photographer, which I tried both for a while.
I recently loved collaborating with Roberta Einer and Susan Fang. Two young designers I care a lot about, so it was special to be a part of their processes.
As someone whoโs experiencing the struggle of breaking down the barriers and getting a foot in the door to the impossibly difficult fashion industry, Iโm intrigued to hear how you did it. So, tell me how you did it, and any tips you can pass on.
I started interning at a young age, when I was around 16. Then during university I continued to work, eventually quitting my photography degree when I was offered a freelance fashion assistant position at Vogue Turkey. Best tip would be make sure you are prepared for hard work.
Tell me whatโs your favourite styling collaboration that youโve worked on thus far in your career.

What about celebrities? Or are there any in particular youโd love to in the future?
Ciara is always a highlight for me because sheโs such a powerful energy to be around. Future wise I donโt want to jinx anything so my lips are sealed!

Whatโs the trend of the moment youโre fond of, and what about a trend you can do without?
I donโt really love trends but being such a cold person I was fond of the leg warmer and skirt over pants having a come back over the winter.
In your opinion, whatโs the best city in the world for fashion, and why?
Iโm biased and will say London because I love it here but I think Paris is super exciting at the moment.
I always find it so interesting to see and learn what stylists wear on a daily basis. So, Phoebe, whatโs your ideal look for every day?
A really tricky question. As most days I do something different so it really depends what Iโm doing or where I am. For a typical day in my studio I tend to be in some light wash baggy jeans, Miu Miu Ballet flats, a cashmere grey or black roll neck sweater, my mens wool double breasted Celine coat, Molly Goddard taffeta shoulder bag (that fits everything in including my laptop), and vintage Chanel sunglasses.
