Maison Margiela for man

1988 saw the establishment of French fashion house Maison Margiela by Belgian designer Martin Margiela and his business partner and fellow designer Jenny Meirens. Margiela had just finished a three-year stint as Jean Paul Gaultier’s design assistant when the pair decided to create the label. They opened their first store in Paris in an unmarked white space selling clothing that could be identified by their signature blank white labels with four white tacks, and with different ranges displaying numbers (in no particular order) as a way to identify them. Just like their branding, the designer himself remained pretty anonymous over the years, avoiding pictures and communicating with the media by fax as a rebellion against the overly commercialized fashion industry.

Our range of unconventional pieces from Maison Margiela embodies the brand’s philosophy of avant-garde designs and fashion as an artistic expression. From clothing like jeans, t-shirts and sweaters that have their iconic deconstructed look to more elegant coats and jackets as well as wallets and footwear like sneakers, boots and shoes.
