Dynamite comeback of the 70’s

A love of the groovy 70’s style continuation was a huge trend for the SS20 women’s fashion shows. From New York, Milan, to Paris. Although, this season it was revisited and reinterpreted than previous ones. With a power play, specifically, through 70’s style suiting. Creations in beautifully classic fit of the era in long and lean suits with single-button blazers and flare trousers. Down the catwalks of all important houses: Prada, Stella McCartney, Etro, Burberry and many more. However, the ones that really made an iconic and chic statement were that of Gucci, with black flare trousers embracing a large, stamp-like ‘Gucci Orgasmique’ patchwork. There was a flower power moment from Marc Jacobs proposing an ultra feminine, retro-chic 70’s style flower pattern in green, accessorized with an oversized hat. Paco Rabanne sent a fun, brightly-coloured mix and match of patterns down the catwalk, making the art of suit-style dressing cheerful again. Per the usual suspects, the characteristics of the 70’s were proposed through knitwear. An array of traditional knits: crocheted tops, long and short sweater dresses. Emerging down the catwalk of Fendi in a mustard yellow crochet top and skirt, to the models of Kate Spade exhibiting colourful knitted and floral dresses. Therefore, this season be inspired by the grooviness and boost your style with 70’s looks!
