Interview

Marvely

We had the pleasure of meeting Marvely, an all-rounded artist. If you didn't know him, continuing reading his interview here, and get to learn his dream of one day to be in Sanremo, Italy!

Hi Marvely, you’re a singer, producer and DJ. Which of these professions do you enjoy the most?

Between being a singer, a producer and a DJ, I'd much rather be sleeping, because I'd really like to catch up on my sleep (Laughs, E.D).

My music pieces draw inspiration from all the imagery of 'bad' films from the 1970’s and 1980’s.

Marvely

How would you describe your style using 3 adjectives?

I’d describe my style as a mix of eras, because I'm very fond of the nineties with its leather clothes, the y2k style for its colours and above all, because I'm a mama's boy, the classic style.

An item of clothing that absolutely cannot be missing from your wardrobe?

The must-have item of clothing in my wardrobe is comfortable socks.

Where do you get inspiration for your music pieces? And for your looks?

My music pieces draw inspiration from all the imagery of 'bad' films from the 1970’s and 1980’s. I like the soundtracks of those films, so I take them, sample them and work on them.

Can you tell us more about the project you’re working on with the Akeem collective?

With the Akeem collective, we’ve been pursuing this new vision of evenings and events for ten years. It’s a collective of twenty-five people made up of photographers, video makers, DJs and many other figures. What we’d like to do is not only to position ourselves in the city of Milan, where we‘ve been for ten years, but to expand throughout the territory and even abroad, precisely with this mentality of doing parties in a chill and inclusive way, since they’re events also dedicated to creators, where they can meet, share passions and ideas. What we’d like is to export this way of partying.

What are your plans for the future?

My plans for the future, seriously is to come out with an album I'm working on, and one day to participate in Sanremo, either as a singer or as a Producer.
